....Faust

Dear friends and listeners together after a few albums .... rimessisi Faust (historic Teutonic group) in 1994 they recorded a brave experimental album, this Rien. The lovers of the avant-garde sounds and cosmic music will find quotations from Stockhausen, twelve-tone and noise as sound distortion and other amenities. Certainly not an easy work and enjoyed by all. A curiosity in the first part lasts 5 seconds and then silence for 3 seconds with a phrase "C'est rien de Faust" that is also the last album, the upcoming songs stops in the middle with a "silence" of 4 sec. The artists involved are: Werner Dermeier-drums, bass-Jean-Hervé Peron, Jim O'Rourke-tapes, Keiji Haino-guitar, Steven Wray Lobdell-guitar, Michael Morley-guitar.

Argenti Rosa

Dear friends and listeners learn from the site ..... how Jazzitalia (...!) to see them are: "Two Italians from both from Tuscany, meeting in Boston in October 2002 - after 25 years - to finally set a stunning CD of jazz as a duo. This Ferdinando Argenti, a fine and brilliant pianist who lives in New England (USA), and Henry Rose , a great guitar virtuoso who lives in Denmark. The CD is titled "To the old friendship" and contains six songs, all originals composed, arranged and performed by Henry and Ferdinand. On track 2 Eva Rosa, Henry's wife, joined them briefly to record two beautiful melodies. The titles of the six tracks follow the story of two friends who had similar musical paths and dreams - are separated by land and oceans - are likely to express them at the end together in this inspired one afternoon when there was recorded live. « ...per me, music has always been and continues to be a mission. I've never seen as a profession, I am always excited by music, from learning new things. I enjoy writing music, recording and performing with other musicians. Let's say that - with regard to tour - the movement becomes a job, the pure traveling from place to place, but certainly not making music! "

Dear friends and listeners ...
pianist Red Garland is best Known for His work in the 1950s with The Miles Davis Quintet, Where He Provided a rootsy foil for the trumpeter. But He Was Already Established as a leader of trios and small groups. On this 1957 album for Prestige, the young John Coltrane and Donald Byrd, bassist George Joyner and drummer Arthur Taylor join Garland for a relaxed, fine set.
Charlie Parker’s “Billie’s Bounce” starts things off, and Coltrane impatiently burns througha few choruses, pushing bop’s limits. On the uptempo, “Crazy Rhythm” (with Paul Chambers onbass), Garland’s clear bop lines are both woody and ringing. “Lazy Mae” is an extended, late night, blues meditation; Garland explores melodic block chords, and Coltrane delightfully stretches the boundaries......enjoy HERE .... zero

FuturaMENTE

Dear friends and listeners ....
I groped today to climb in a reckless comparison between what 'that was the thought of the Italian Futurist movement, which was not only Marinetti and modern jazz, where I intend to modern ideas and projects that magma of the music that Miles Davis gave good the "the ".... that one would want to call it Fusion or any other label, it does not matter ..... there is no doubt that if there is only one form of music that was able to compare, combine other forms and expressions in a continuous movement in search of new sounds and ideas this is just the jazz .... ..... always border line by breaking the other hand, as was the guiding idea of the Futurist movement that I try 'to combine the art of becoming the transformation of the continuous movement, contaminating the language, art, music of the time "mixandola" with aspects of reality' in contrast with each other ..... future events which tentva the kitchen to mix with the roar of the engines with the poetry, which from a certain point of view could be a schizophrenic artistic-philosophical end in itself, that the attempts were not experiments .... .... as d 'Moreover, this disc, I'm going to offer you is a strange sound mixing experiment taggabile as future jazz or new sounds ..... a bit 'hip-hop, a dash of lounge music, the ever-present DJ sets, pieces of rap, an ensemble of strings, perfumes soul, and spirit vocalese of hovering over a handful of classic American music. A cocktail barman malriuscito a naive or ambitious?
Not really concerned if the subject responds to that bad boy Bill Laswell and if the occasion calls himself surrounded by a crew of buccaneers sailed improvisation as Karl Berger, Nicky Skopelitis, Brandon Ross, and Amina Claudine Myers.
And as in all productions of Laswell what matters is not so much the technical performance of the musicians, their interplay, processing and improvisation on the theme, the idea of music goes beyond genre, a concept of sound that transcends the aesthetic established, a breeze that upsets any certainty insinuating style.
Several gems of this recording, as the beautiful version of "Angel Eyes" with the deep voice of Amina Claude Myers puts chills, the chase between vocalese rap style and the classic "Twisted," the Ellington that you expect in "Cottontail", initials "Little Boy Do not Get Scared" from the hypnotic groove and the counterpoint of alienating outcomes Material Strings conducted by Karl Berger. If the
draft Bill Laswell not upset much a public now accustomed to any kind of musical works, his Little Boy Do not Get Scared is a happy example of fusion between genres, a clever, fresh and original tribute to vocalese, generally too often forgotten or considered of B. Download HERE

Dear friends and listeners ... eccentric Italian-American singer Mike Patton was an excellent first entry prog metal with Faith No More and then gave himself with avant-prog various Mr.Bungle and Fantomas. He had also recorded some discs that are particularly difficult to an audience not accustomed to cutting-edge sound. The second his work is that lunch extremist in 1997, where the brave musician takes the speech interrupted by Pink Floyd (those of atoms) with the suite psychedelic (never finished): "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" which appears here and in More and Atom, combining it with the experimentalism of sound Ummagumma (studio section) and rearranging all in a modern way. For help in the work were present: Erik Friedlander / cello - Marc Ribot / guitar - William Winant / percussion - John Zorn / Alto Saxophone. Very interesting ..... but for followers

Dear friends and listeners ....
difficult to explain the emergence of a group like "A Short Apnea", later in the design even before the sounds of groups traditionally more developed countries, if you do not see the curriculum of the protagonists, as devoted to experimentation with other musical genres since the Gone 80 years' perennially in search of a music in which there are no barriers between progressive, post rock, free jazz, avant-garde and so on, "A Short Apnea" is indispensable point of reference for those waiting for years to be able to see yourself in a musical reality that far how deeply Italian.

Dear friends and listeners .... Hard
to explain the birth of a band like A Short Apnea so ahead in the conception before that in the sounds to band borned in countries traditionally more evoluted. if the past experience of the protagonists, experienced to experimentation like to other musical kinds since early '80s. always in search of a music in which barriers between progressive, post rock, free jazz, avantgard and other do not exist, A Short Apnea are a point of reference for who attends from years to find in a band ahead as well as deeply italian.

Trying to make sense of written productions Wallace always requires a huge effort because first you need to get in tune with your moods will to reach a state of 'higher, trying to reach agreement with the instrumental noise that this label has been used by
time. The

A Short Apnea are much more 'than just a crazy neuron abscission by Afterhours, move with a soul that jars with any song form, distorting the melody attempts to insinuate itself between the folds of the sounds.

black cover, title macabre and chilling photos inside (the three musicians are ritatti as in the photo of the discovery of Aldo Moro) from the beginning a very hard funeral. Should be three tracks, but in reality 'it is three times or moments, each of which is' divided into "emotional pieces" that form a backdrop schizophrenic and panting. Yet these three moments are the things most 'vital and innovative that I happened to be in the hands of time ... and fishing in the 70 retrologia there's that creative madness of a group like the area ... but mixed with a industrial noises and a thousand other disparate sonic elements.

It 's a noise at times warm and enveloping as any one of a futuristic metropolis, almost like an icon in tribute to Fritz Lang and his dear to me, "Metropolis, made of flakes of oblivion and soft caresses, animated by delirious apparent explosive but in reality 'structured, geared precisely there' s time for a sense of complacency that immediately and 'snore disturbed by strange presences that linger like ghosts of a B-movie horror.
E 'recitation sound, instruments that become the characters, featuring different shapes and complex, interweaving relationships and disputes, moving in a sometimes hysterical sometimes sinuous.
imprisoned voice notes, which complains of delusions and sighs, never try to be decisive.
pure experimentation!, Devoted to freedom 'That Shakes the compositional free jazz, without skipping a few gradient post-rock ... the banality of death ', the end of cloning sound ... perhaps years ahead, perhaps they are just charlatans, the fact remains that this music is' all over them! It is useless to say whether I like it, the A Short Apnea need them in order to understand them, otherwise Illu Ogod Ellátó rhagedia (Ustrainhustri) and 'garbage or as we say in my part ..... rumenta zero
