Behind the name of Average White Band, there are some excellent musicians from Dundee in Scotland that which joined in 1972, a notable funky soul sound that recalls the great tradition of the black soul made in the USA. Their debut album in 1973 but the big breakthrough came with the second disc that contains "Pick up the pieces" that them U.S. sends top of the charts. Soon after the publication of this work died of an overdose the drummer Robbie McIntosh who was replaced by Steve Ferrone. After the first pulled hard enough musically, the band's music loses energy and strive for a very sophisticated pop soul especially in the two records recorded for RCA. In 1982 the band broke up and then get back together, without any evidence, in 1988 with a disc actually quite useless. Very nice but the second disc back in 1996, printed in Italy by Irma Records of Bologna. HERE we listen to a live performance recorded at the 2008 BB King's ... enjoy .... zero
